CAN YOU FLY LIKE PAPER?
For those of you that have anxiety like myself let this be self-help for getting on your next flight with no problem. I don’t know how much strength this will give you but the least you can do is say it helped. I need to find my strength at times and it hasn’t been in anyone (God is saying it’s in me), you know that type of strength that gives you a sense of security for when the plane goes down you don’t care because you’re with that one person you’re willing to die with, man I couldn’t even find that within my own mom. Trust me being on a plane reminds you that you are alive. No, I’m not going to sleep, relaxing, nor do I need a neck pillow.
Sometimes we won’t share our fears with others we just go with the flow and ease the pain as it comes. I going to try asking someone, how do you feel about flying? Those that travel more often than others know what to expect I’m not gonna lie I’m the type of person that wants everyone to sit down and don’t move any bit of turbulence I feel I just start repenting on the spot (God forgive me for my sins). I don’t want to talk to my neighbors I’m like hi, thank you and that’s it as they look unbothered. I’m so focusing on the movement and the alerts around me I won’t even buy the $2 wifi and when I think about it I’m so digitally connected I forgot there isn’t a tower in the sky because I’m like why my phone isn’t working. Goes to show you how much I fly.
There’s a list of things you can do to avoid dramatic anxiety: sleep, read, listen to music, spark interesting conversations, write, plan, and the list goes on. I want you to know that you are not alone and someone feels the exact same way.
