Health is the focus. You are in the right place if you are working towards greater health, healing, and weight loss. How you feel is linked to what you eat.


A Detox is easier to do in a group or with friends so let’s do it together. It’s time to let go of some things, not for long 7 days at the most, but let this be a seed planted to continue to let go of things that mean you harm and foods that are no good. Just because you don’t eat meat don’t mean you eat healthy. There was a time I gave up meat to make sure God heard me. Leviticus 11 tells you more about clean and unclean food. Maybe this Cleanse isn’t for you and that’s ok because there’s someone who needs this exact Cleanse. Perhaps you can create a personal Detox list to fit your needs. I created this Cleanse to help me and those who can and will relate.


NO COFFEE – Including myself whether it’s Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks. Either way coffee is coffee so no coffee. No more Starbucks on the go I’m talking about the 11oz glass jars you buy for your house or when you don’t want to wait in the long Starbucks line so you stop at the grocery store to cheat. NO WINE.

Drink Water instead of sugar drinks including all sugar drinks.


fruit-1202313_960_720If you can let’s start or end our day with a Smoothie. A Healthy Smoothie a fruit and veggie smoothie of your choice. Don’t let people force you to eat foods you don’t eat or dislike. I have this on and off taste for tomatoes one day I want tomatoes one day I don’t. For example, if your friends are having a gathering and no one prepared anything healthy the choice is always yours or let’s say your church is having an event and you’re assigned a dish that doesn’t fit your diet let your pastor know the dish isn’t your choice of food. Ask if you can bring something more healthy. No one is going to avoid High Fructose Corn Syrup, Trans Fats/Hydrogenated Fats, and the craving of MSG for you. Stop eating anything that can trigger health issues. Every day is a new start it’s never too late to start and don’t beat yourself up. If you don’t have the money for your ideal grocery list just remember what you won’t eat. Just be wise, because grabbing a quick bite can interrupt your Cleanse. It’s definitely ok to work at your own pace, but NO means NO.

Shopping List: Fresh Produce, Meat with Protein/Fish, Eggs, Pasta, Grains, Nuts, Seeds, Spices, Herbs, Salad, Hummus (if you’re like me let’s fly out to Israel just for the Hummus), Dip, Shakes & Smoothies, Soup, Salsa, Stew, Trail Mix and Other/More.

Potluck Activity: Plan a time where you can come together with friends or family and bring your favorite healthy dish. No one can walk in the door without a dish in their hand. Remember to keep your portions small. Create your own Detox Meal Plan Chart from real fresh whole food. Good nutrition provides healing.

Take good care of your body. I’m sure there’s a lot of things you can Detox from start small and gradually work your way up. Keep in mind how your comfort foods make you feel. You don’t know what you can give up until you go without it.
