#CupcakesForDinner | GirlTalk on What Gets Your Attention?

I want to help you determine what gets your attention. Before you took interest in reading this blog identify what got your attention was it the title? What was it? Have you stopped to think about what is it you need to turn your focus on? I myself could probably turn my focus from what others think about me and focus on what TMH “God” thinks about me the Bible says, ”For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” Jeremiah 29:11 remember he said “For I Know” and not “They Know”

Are you able to identify your distractions how quick are you to refocus? Blocking out your surroundings such as noise, a ringing cell phone, or even someone yelling outside your window. When we stop and give these things attention not only have we lost our focus, but we may seem to have a concentration problem finding ourselves dealing with more than one thing at a time. How likely is it for you to multi-task your focus? can you fold the laundry, flick through the news, and talk on the phone.

What do you want to focus on this year that will grow? Over the past few weeks did you make any changes in any areas of your life. Have any of these changes required your full attention without any distractions. I want this to help you with sustainable change and improve your focus. For example. Are you trying to read this during the noisy part of your day or have you decided to focus on a more peaceful surrounding area?

Here are a couple of questions you can ask yourself to help understand where your focus has been going.

  1. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being absolutely no stress, and 10 is chronic stress. What is the current stress level in your life and why?
  2. Based on your experience how much does stress affect your ability to focus?

Who is it? Is it the sexy man who sits next to you or is your crush at the gym able to distract you? How many can agree that our time is important to us? Without a doubt clarifying what matters the most and calculating our time and dividing it where it goes or has gone. Have you stop to think your main focus gets most of your time. Ask yourself what are you focused on?

I encourage everyone to remain focus and do not become disappointed dreamers. I want you to discover your superiority of God’s plan. Prayer Prayer Pray “Hear my prayer O Lord give ear to my supplications in thy faithfulness answer me and in thy righteousness” Psalm 143:1 The only way to disappoint yourself is by losing focus of the character you are building “Without counsel purposes are disappointed, but in the multitude of counsellors they are established” Proverbs 15:22
