What kind of first impressions are you making?
One of my favorite things to do. Cut out styles that closely reflect my personal style It’s like making a mini style vision board. This turned on the lights in my head to think hmm… being mindful of how people are perceiving me. Do I look presentable, are they turned away because I have a style that doesn’t match them, or maybe the women who want to be found by their future husband but come out with scarves on their heads and pajamas (ikr) sidenote: This is my actual style and how I dress and would like to dress I didn’t make this up I went through a lot of magazines to find my style for less or more. I couldn’t fit everything. My style and similar. Continue reading “My Style Code”
It’s time to David your Goliath
What do you think it would look like if you had to go up against a giant?
Goliath the giant challenge the Israelites
1 Samuel 17:8 Goliath stood and shouted to the Israelite battle formations: “Why do you come out to line up in battle formation? ” He asked them, “Am I not a Philistine and are you not servants of Saul? Choose one of your men and have him come down against me.
GET IN FORMATION IT’S TIME TO FIGHT BACK
There was a reward to anyone who killed Goliath. David asked around twice was there a reward and what will a man get for killing this Philistine and ending his defiance of Israel? While everyone was shaken and terrified to go up against Goliath David knew that would be a piece of cake and was ready to fight him. Before David kills Goliath Saul doubted him by saying things like “you’re just a boy and this man been going to war for years don’t be ridiculous” that did not stop David and I’m sure you can relate to this, because there’s been plenty of people who tried to discourage you from a win.
David the youngest brother of 4 had no fear in fighting a giant, he fights Lions, and Bears whats a Giant? I’m sure he’s been getting tossed around by his older brothers and had to fight all his life. Saul was pretty much like go ahead and fight him and said “And may the Lord be with you”
What I learned from David boldness was not wanting to gear up in the proper equipment to go out and fight, because it felt uncomfortable 1 Samuel 17:45. David said to the Philistine: “You come against me with a dagger, spear, and sword, but I come against you in the name of Yahweh of Hosts, the God of Israel’s armies — you have defied Him” when David took Goliath out it was only with a sling shot and a stone.
I’m here to tell you that there is a God in Israel and the Lord will rescue his people, and you don’t always have to fight your battles and when you do keep calm and listen to God you will know what to do. Stop running from your fears next time something or someone call you out meet them where they are stand bold and strong. You will finish your enemies with their own weapons. What do people do next now they see a giant who was supposed to be the champion is now dead? They run and be even more afraid.
You now have fans, because you did something so powerful that everyone was afraid to do. Guess who will become your biggest fan? The very first person that doubted you. That person will admire you so much they’ll become jealous. I know you heard that saying “everybody wants to see you doing good just not better than them” Here’s a reminder the enemy comes to Steal, Kill, and Destroy. The enemy will try to run you away and when He realizes he can’t he’ll try to kill you. Stay on guard and be aware of your surroundings.
